Parkinson’s disease
Targeted therapy and support for every stage of your Parkinson’s journey.
At Coffs Neuro Physio, we support people with Parkinson’s Disease across all stages — from recent diagnosis through to more advanced symptoms. Whether your goals are to stay active, manage daily tasks, or feel more confident with movement or communication, our experienced team is here to help.
Parkinson’s can affect movement, coordination, speech, swallow and cognition — but research shows that early, intensive, and targeted therapy can make a real difference. Our programs are based on the principles of neuroplasticity, helping to re-train the brain, improve function and slow the progression of the condition.
What we offer:
- PD Warrior – A high-effort, neuro-active exercise program for early intervention
- Punching Above PD – A fun, boxing-inspired class for agility, strength and motivation
- PD Masters group – Regular supervised group sessions tailored to varying ability levels
- Individual Physiotherapy – Personalised rehab to target specific impairments and goals, from walking to strength, balance, posture and transfers
- Individual Speech Pathology – Support for voice, speech clarity, swallowing and cognitive communication
- Voice groups – A fun, supportive group using Parkinson’s specific speech production and voice therapy techniques
- Allied Health Assistant support – For ongoing guided exercise practice
We know that no two people experience Parkinson’s the same way. That’s why we take a flexible, person-centred approach to care — focused on helping you maintain your independence, wellbeing and confidence for as long as possible.

Speech Pathology in Parkinson’s
Individuals with Parkinson’s disease often present with challenges with voice projection and clarity, as well as issues with swallowing and saliva management.
Our Speech Pathologist has carried out extensive training in a specific voice program called LSVT (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment). This program is designed to help improve vocal loudness and speech clarity, particularly with clients with Parkinson’s.
Our weekly Parkinson’s communication groups focus on speech production and voice therapy techniques. The group setting provides a supportive atmosphere for individuals to talk to each other and to practise their social skills, regardless of what stage of progression they are at. Everyone is welcome, we always have a laugh, and participants enjoy the camaraderie that comes from meeting regularly.
