Post Polio Syndrome
We are experienced in managing the late effects that thousands of polio survivors still live.
The polio virus may be long gone in Australia, but thousands of survivors still live with its late effects. Our therapists have been specifically trained to understand the complexity of the late effects of polio and to help improve the quality of life of people with these effects.
This may be from exercise to maintain physical health and strengthen/maintain appropriate muscles, to improving function and energy conservation with adaptive equipment.
