Welcoming Dr. Hugo Morales-Briceño to Coffs Neuro Physio 

We are delighted to announce that from 12 September 2025, Dr. Hugo Morales-Briceño, Consultant Neurologist & Movement Disorders Specialist, will be consulting from Coffs Neuro Physio. 

This is a significant step forward in making specialist neurological care more accessible on the Mid North Coast. 

Until now, many patients from our region had to travel to Sydney or face long wait times through the public system to access specialist Botox therapy for neurological conditions. Dr. Morales-Briceño’s new private clinic at Coffs Neuro Physio changes that, providing local access to these services for the very first time. 

At Coffs Neuro Physio, his focus will be on botulinum toxin (Botox) therapy — a highly effective treatment used for conditions including: 

• Dystonia 
• Hemifacial spasm 
• Migraine 
• Spasticity

This means patients can now receive advanced, specialist treatments right here in Coffs Harbour, without the need for lengthy travel. 

Dr. Morales-Briceño brings a wealth of expertise to the Mid North Coast: 

• He currently works at Westmead Hospital (Sydney), where he provides both general neurology consultations and Botox therapy. 
• In 2023, he established a public neurology clinic at Coffs Base Hospital, focusing on consultations for movement disorders. (Please note: Botox is not available at this clinic.) 
• His new private clinic at Coffs Neuro Physio will address a critical gap by offering Botox therapy locally.

In the future, Dr. Morales-Briceño may expand his private services at Coffs Neuro Physio to include consultations for movement disorders — and potentially broader neurology — further improving access to care. 

With over 10 years of clinical experience, Dr. Morales-Briceño specialises in Parkinson’s disease, movement disorders, and botulinum toxin therapy. In addition to his clinical practice, he also leads cutting-edge research in Sydney, focusing on advanced therapies for Parkinson’s disease. 

This blend of hands-on expertise and research leadership ensures that patients receive the highest quality, evidence-based care.
