Riana is a physiotherapist with a special interest in neurological rehabilitation and supporting people with complex presentations to achieve meaningful, life-changing goals.

Before becoming a physiotherapist, Riana worked across a range of movement and wellbeing roles, including as a fitness instructor, yoga teacher, aqua aerobics instructor, remedial massage therapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor. This diverse background gives her a strong appreciation for the many ways movement, exercise and education can support recovery, confidence and quality of life.

Prior to joining Coffs Neuro Physio, Riana spent five years working at Baringa Hospital, where she particularly enjoyed working on the rehabilitation ward with people recovering from neurological conditions and complex health challenges. She finds it incredibly rewarding to support clients through their rehab journey — from taking their first steps through to walking out the door — especially when working with people who are motivated, determined and working towards big goals.

She has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation, with a focus on stroke, foot drop, degenerative neurological conditions, exercise for rehabilitation and neuroplasticity. Riana is also passionate about health literacy and empowering people to better understand their condition, advocate for themselves, and navigate the healthcare system with confidence.

Having settled in Coffs Harbour after many years of travel and adventure, Riana loves living in regional Australia and is passionate about ensuring people in regional communities have access to high-quality healthcare.

Outside of work, you’ll often find Riana enjoying the peace and quiet by the river, reading, travelling, snowboarding, creating the perfect Spotify playlist, or volunteering at car clubs along the coast while her teenage son races cars.
